Background
When AI design tools began gaining traction, our team started exploring how they might fit into our workflow. Leadership was interested in their potential to accelerate design work, and v0 quickly became one of the tools generating the most excitement.
Rather than evaluating it through demos alone, I wanted to understand how it performed in real product scenarios. Over several projects, I used v0 for ideation, prototyping, and collaboration, paying close attention to where it improved the process - and where it introduced new challenges.
My goal wasn't to determine whether AI was "good" or "bad." It was to understand where it created meaningful value for product teams and where traditional design practices remained essential.
